Detailed Itinerary：
① Pick up at your hotel between 7:20am and 8:30am, and then driving one hour to get to Badaling Great Wall. Badaling is situated at the very top of the mountain to the north of Guangou Valley. There is a narrow path leading to the top of the two precipitous mountains. the Badaling Great wall is built in between two mountains and was constructed to be a communications center. North of Badaling, you can travel to Kangzhuang, Huailai, datong and Zhangjiakou; to the east, you can reach Yongning, Sihai and Miyun; to the south you can go to Beijing city proper via Changping, Since the traffic is nice, so it is called Badaling (Eight Prominent Peaks). Cable car is available and it is optional.

Before having lunch, you will have 45 minutes to have a short visit to the Friend Yongsheng Jade Carving Factory. The jade carving is a famous special Chinese product, a blend of the excellent skill on carving and Chinese traditional cultures. Having traditional Chinese lunch at Jindian restaurant.
After lunch, driving about 1.5 hours and get to the Forbinden City. The abode of 24 Ming and Qing emperors of the celestial Empire, the forbidden city is a fittingly awe-inspiring sight, Enclosed behind it’s moat and 9.9m high walls are 980 buildings, vast courtyards and long corridors that occupy a total area of 720,000 square meters, It’s alleged that as many as 1,000,000 workers and 100,000 artisans participated in the construction of this imperial palace, which began in 1406 and was completed in 1420 during the reign of Ming dynasty, the last emperor Puyi, left the Forbidden city in 1924,11 years after his abdication and the establishment of the Republic of China,

after Puyi’s departure, the Forbidden city, which had long been off-limits to most mortals, was opened to the public, Hence its current Chinese name, gugong bowuyuan, meaning 'the palace Museum'. Walk along the central axis of palaces from south to north for 2 hours. Then walk to the Tiananmen Square for sightseeing for 40 minutes.
On the way to hotels, you will have the chance to visit the Chinese traditional medicine culture. Then transferred back to your hotels. |
