Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1. Entry Beijing
Be met by private vehicle and English speaking tour guide from airport. Be transferred to hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 2. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Foot Massage
Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 am and transferred to Tiananmen Square is the spiritual heart of the world’s most populous country, occupy an area of 44 hectares (440,000 square meters),big enough to hold (half) a million people.
On October 1st,1949,Mao climbed atop the ‘gate of Heavenly Peace’. which gives the square it’s name, to proclaim the foundation of the people’s Republic of China. On the square’s north end is the Gate of Heavenly Peace, which leads towards the Forbidden City .in the centre of the square is the 40m-high Monument to the People’s Heroes., chairman mao’s mausoleum, on the square’s east side house is Chinese history and revolution Museum, on the west is the Great Hall of the People. |

| Then we will enter the Forbidden CityThe abode of 24 Ming and Qing emperors of the celestial Empire, the forbidden city is a fittingly awe-inspiring sight, Enclosed behind it’s moat and 9.9m high walls are 980 buildings, vast courtyards and long corridors that occupy a total area of 720,000 square meters, It’s alleged that as many as 1,000,000 workers and 100,000 artisans participated in the construction of this imperial palace, which began in 1406 and was completed in 1420 during the reign of Ming dynasty, the last emperor Puyi, left the Forbidden city in 1924,11 years after his abdication and the establishment of the Republic of China, after Puyi’s departure, the Forbidden city, which had long been off-limits to most mortals, was opened to the public, Hence its current Chinese name, gugong bowuyuan, meaning ‘the palace Museum’. |

| After lunch in local restaurant, visit Temple of Heaven.The temple of heaven served Ming and Qing dynasty emperors as a vast sacred space to perform ceremonial rites on behalf of the Chinese nation, the layout of the compound reflects its religious purpose and so adheres to geomantic precepts, for instance, the northern end of the park is curved while the southern end is square, reflecting the traditional Chinese conception of heaven as round and earth as square .likewise, the park gates are located at the four cardinal points.Proceed to enjoy Chinese foot massage to have a leisure time. Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 am and transferred to Beijing Hutong -ancient city alley in Beijing. Many of them were built during the Yuan (1206-1341), Ming (1368-1628) and Qing (1644-1908) dynasties surrounding the Forbidden City.
Take rickshaw to visit the ancient Hutong including Drum tower, Local family, Shicha Lake and Bar Street. |

| Then we will visit Lama Temple for one hour. Lama Temple is an island of Buddhism is the heart of the concrete jungle, Monks in wine-colored robes live, study and pray in its pleasant gardens and halls, Decorated with delicate scrolls and massive icons, its building are a hybrid of Tibetan, Mongolian and Han architectural st les, the lama temple is a tranquil spot, except during the spring festival(Chinese new year)when it seems all of China’s Buddhists throng its altars to burn bushels of incense and pray for good fortune. |

| After lunch in local restaurant, visit Summer Palace -20 kilometers northwest of downtown Beijing. Summer Palacethe Summer palace is a wonderful place to explore, as long ago as the Yuan dynasty, officials set up their private gardens in the scenic area, but the summer palace didn’t take on its present appearance until the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing dynasty. He deepened the park’s manmade lake and added building to serve as a ‘country home’ for his mother, though it would be the Empress Dowager Cixi who would have the biggest impact on the palace’s appearance.Taste Beijing Roast Duck for Dinner. Beijing Roast Duck is the delicious food in Beijing. Eating Peking duck is seen to be one of the two things you are absolutely supposed to do while in Beijing. | Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 am. Drive one and half hours to the famous Badaling Great WallBadaling is situated at the very top of the mountain to the north of Guangou Valley. There is a narrow path leading to the top of the two precipitous mountains. the Badaling Great wall is built in between two mountains and was constructed to be a communications center. North of Badaling, you can travel to Kangzhuang, Huailai, datong and Zhangjiakou; to the east, you can reach Yongning, Sihai and Miyun; to the south you can go to Beijing city proper via Changping, Since the traffic is nice, so it is called Badaling (Eight Prominent Peaks) Cable car is optional to get the top to have a bird view of the wall. Drive 30 minutes to local restaurant to have typical Chinese lunch. |

| Drive 20 minutes to Ming Tombs The tombs of 13 Ming dynasty emperors and their consorts are scattered in a gorgeous valley 45km northwest of Beijing, all but three of the Ming emperors lies in Nanjing, the tomb of the second emperor remains unknown as he had his throne usurped by his uncle and another emperor was considered illegitimate and wasn’t given the honor of an imperial tomb.
Drive back to Beijing city to have Dinner in a typical Chinese restaurant. Be transferred back to your hotel after the whole day tour. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) |
